Hello blog world! I hope everyone had a wonderful week. I’m dedicating this Friday’s Five to my very first dinner party I hosted last night! It was definitely a success and we’re for sure making it a tradition!

ON THE MENU WAS:
Lobster Mac N Cheese
Lots of wine, and of course ice cream!
(War wounds from opening up the oysters…)
Above you’ll find links to the recipes I used for last nights dinner. My friend Julie was in charge of bringing the lobster mac n cheese, but if anyone wants her recipe I can ask her which one she used!!
Wahoo! It’s Friday! I hope everyone had a wonderful week. Cheers to a great weekend!!
(Desperately wanting to climb the trees in Beverly Hills and be a kid again.)
(Receiving a thoughtful gift from the girls at SHOP GIRLS!)
(Crawling into these cool sheets, laying in bed with the windows open and snuggling in for an early movie night!)
(Helping with a 6am production at the hospital this week. Coffee and kidos = <3 )
(And last but not least, relaxing after a hard days work and spending some time online with my newest obsession, Houzz.)
There’s absolutely nothing Miranda Kerr couldn’t pull off. However, what I appreciate is her timeless, classic, and simple style. It’s always a given that she’ll look fabulous on every runway she walks on, but it’s her edgy, high-fashion street style that has people calling her the latest fashion icon!
PANTS
SKIRTS
DRESSES
Yay! I’m so excited to officially be featured on SHOP GIRLS! It was a blast to work with them and I am honored that I could be their very first SHOP GIRL!!
Here are a few pics from the photo shoot! Check the rest of them out on the SHOP GIRLS BLOG!

I hope everyone is having a great Easter and a wonderful Sunday! It was a little overcast today in L.A. but that didn’t stop me from being outdoors! I was able to pick some beautiful flowers from my front yard before heading off to an amazing church service at the Hollywood Bowl! But the day wasn’t complete without some good mimosas and brunch with the girls!
Recently I’ve started a new book called Tiny Beautiful Things by Cheryl Strayed. At one time Strayed was an online advice columnist named “Sugar”. People would write in to her and ask advice on life and love. The advice she gave was truly impressive. She offered what we wish every mother would: enough compassion to make us feel safe within our broken need, and enough wisdom to hold on to hope. This book is a collection of intimate exchanges between strangers.
Throughout the book I started underlining sentences I liked. So I’ve decided to share with you all some of my favorite ones as I continue read on!
“Love is the feeling we have for those we care deeply about and hold in high regard. It can be light as the hug we give a friend or heavy as the sacrifices we make for our children. It can be romantic, platonic, familial, fleeting, everlasting, conditional, unconditional, imbued with sorrow, stoked by sex, sullied by abuse, amplified by kindness, twisted by betrayal, deepened by time, darkened by difficulty, leavened by generosity, nourished by humor and “loaded with promises and commitments” that we may or may not want or keep. The best thing you can possibly do with your life is to tackle the motherfucking shit out of love.”
“Don’t surrender all your joy for an idea you used to have about yourself that isn’t true anymore.”
“Most things will be okay eventually, but not everything will be. Sometimes you’ll put up a good fight and lose. Sometimes you’ll hold on really hard and realize there is no choice but to let go. Acceptance is a small, quiet room.”
“Trusting yourself means living out what you already know to be true.”
“The first product of self-knowledge is humility.”
“You will learn a lot about yourself if you stretch in the direction of goodness, of bigness, of kindness, of forgiveness, of emotional bravery. Be a warrior for love.”
“It was only then, when I humbly surrendered, that I was able to do the work I needed to do.”
“How much power you give your feelings is entirely up to you.”
“To be genuine means to be actual, to be true, to be sincere and honest.”
“The story of human intimacy is one of constantly allowing ourselves to see those we love most deeply in a new, more fractured light. Look hard. Risk that.”
The 90′s are BACK! I’m crushing hard on my newest fashion obsession: Overalls!

Not once did I ever think that the blue jean jumpsuit that my mother use to dress me in as a child could, and WOULD, be pulled off and done right with a little help. Who knew?

Here are few few helpful tips to pulling off your overalls:
1. Wear them baggy. Kind of think of it as the boyfriend jean trend. Bigger is better!
2. Heels don’t hurt! With this look, it’s helpful to wear at least a little wedge to give it a more feminine look!
3. Lastly, because the top of overalls tend to lay low on the chest, avoid wearing tops that you can’t see underneath the jeans. Wearing a high-collared top underneath is a sure way to look fashionable and cute! (Remember, less is MORE!)
(Soaking up some sun in Malibu!)
(Admiring the beautiful flowers blooming in front of my house!)
(Spending time with baby Vi.)
(Enjoying some great wine and oysters with my friend Julie at Chateau Marmont.)
(Stepping outside to enjoy the perfect SoCal weather while at the hospital.)
